Ashanti's talent was first discovered in her teens. She was signed to Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. She appeared in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that the same year. Ja Rule's track, Always on Time and Fat Joe's What's luv? The songs of Ja Rule include Foolish (number number one) as well as What's Luv! at number two.
